Statement
My practice spans drawing, painting and sculpture.
My work is rooted in a contemplative presence and observation of landscape. I am interested in rhythm, movement and flow of the natural world. Through drawing and mark making, I search for musicality and the metaphysical. I often use written word as a drawing material, to ask if drawings can be created with language.
I think about physicality of drawing. I see a single sheet of paper as a module, or a building block that can be expanded and enlarged in scale and format.
